Driver's Title Update (26/7/10)
This really is boiling up to be a five-way race at the top of the drivers' championship, if any of the contenders puts together a run of podium finishes -then the title could be theirs. After the team orders from Ferrari allowed Alonso to take the German GP, he will be hoping that he can repeat the feat in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Here's a quick reminder of the market leaders:
Button -last year's champion has been the model of consistency this tie round, having been on the podium five times (equal with team mate Hamilton). He is really rising to the challenge of defending his title when many thought he would struggle to get into the top four.
Hamilton -the 2008 world champion came back down to earth last season with a bump, when finishing only fifth in the title race. Now he has the bit between his teeth again, this could be his year. May well be spurred on by having a British team mate in Jenson Button.
Vettel -the real dark horse of the three contenders, the German has improved steadily over the last three seasons in F1. Second in the championship last year, he is ready to take the crown.
Webber -team mate of Vettel, but still seems to be in the German's shadow. He could surprise us all if he could take his qualifying form to the races.
